Breakfast and departure for the holy city of Kairouan, Tunisia. Visit the Aghlabid Basins, the Mausoleum of Sidi Sahib, the Great Mosque, and a carpet shop—the flagship product of local craftsmanship. Departure for Tozeur and Nefta with a stop en route for lunch. In Nefta, visit the palm grove by horse-drawn carriage to discover the date palm plantations and explore the old town of Nefta. Arrival at the hotel in Tozeur for dinner and overnight stay in a 4-star hotel.

Breakfast and departure from the hotel in a 4x4 to visit the Atlas Mountains and the oases of Chebika and Tamerza; continue across the desert to the Star Wars film set with a photo stop. Return to Tozeur for lunch in the heart of the palm grove, in the shade of the palm trees. Departure for Chott El Djerid, the largest salt flat in Tunisia, famous for its spectacular mirages. Arrival in Douz, gateway to the desert, with the option of a sunset excursion on camelback or by quad bike. Dinner and overnight stay in a 4-star hotel. Depending on the season and demand, it may be possible to spend the night in Bedouin tents with a traditional dinner around a campfire.

Breakfast and departure for the Berber village of Matmata, carved into the mountainside, to discover the charm and simplicity of its troglodyte houses; this is also where other scenes from Star Wars were filmed, and a visit to the set. Departure for El Jem with lunch en route. Arrival in El Jem and visit to the Roman Amphitheater, built around the second century AD, a monument that still dominates almost the entire modern city today. Return to the city of departure.
