Desert Charm

Departure to El Jem, the ancient Roman city, where you will visit the third-largest amphitheatre in the Roman world, dating from the second century; continue to the Berber village of Matmata to visit the underground dwellings known as troglodyte houses and enjoy lunch in a typical village restaurant. Departure to Douz, the gateway to the desert, where in the afternoon you will have the option of a quad-bike ride and to watch the sunset on a camel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast and departure to the centre of Douz for some free time, then lunch in a typical restaurant in the centre of Douz. Continue by 4x4 for a crossing of the fine sand dunes to the desert camp; dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Breakfast and departure to Tozeur via the Chott El Djerid salt lake, the largest expanse of salt in the country, famous for its mirage phenomenon. Arrival in Tozeur; visit of the palm grove and the Date Museum, then lunch on site under Bedouin tents or in the shade of the palm trees. In the afternoon, departure by 4x4 to the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza as well as the Star Wars film set. Arrival and check-in at a 4-star hotel; dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast and departure to the centre of Tozeur, exploring the old town with free time. Departure to Kairouan via Gafsa with lunch along the way. Arrival in the holy city of Kairouan and a photo stop in front of the Great Mosque. Continue to the departure city.
